Vaccinating your puppy or kitten

Young animals lose the protection they get from their mother and need a course of vaccines to build their own. Diseases such as parvo in puppies can spread fast and be fatal, and rabies is a danger to pets and to people.
Visit a vet soon after you bring a new pet home. The vet will set a schedule for your pet’s age, health and lifestyle. Keep the vaccination card safe and bring it to every visit.
Until the course is complete, ask your vet before you take your puppy to parks or around unknown dogs.
