Foods and medicines that are dangerous for pets

Keep these away from your pets, and call the clinic if they swallow any of them:
- Chocolate and anything with cocoa
- Grapes and raisins
- Onion and garlic, including gravies cooked with them
- Sugar-free gum and sweets that contain xylitol
- Cooked bones, which can splinter
- Rat poison and insect sprays
Never give human painkillers without asking a vet. Paracetamol can kill a cat, and ibuprofen is dangerous for dogs and cats.
